Philosophy
Our strategy stems from personal and consultative service that emphasizes in-market decision-making based on local knowledge and relationships. We believe customers seek to do their banking based on the relationships with financially knowledgeable individuals that can assist with strategic decisions based on the best practices that have worked over the years.
Focus
Pinnacle Bank's focus is on proving exceptional consultative service to business owners, professionals, and customers owning and developing income producing real estate properties, and on meeting the needs of our consumer base.
Principals
Our team of highly experienced, local banking executives are well known and connected in the market. Together they will utilize their 95 years experience to provide financial solutions for customers. We recognize banking is about relationships more than about transactions. To that end, our principals serve in leadership roles on numerous community boards.
David Barnett, President and Chief Executive Officer
David began his career in 1981 with C&S Bank (now Bank of America) in Greenville. He advanced to Senior Vice President before leaving in 1996 to join First Citizens Bank as an Executive Vice President and Division Executive responsible for commercial banking, leasing and cash management for the state of South Carolina. In June 2005, he left to form Pinnacle Bank of South Carolina. David has been very involved in the local community his entire career. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Greenville Local Development Corporation, and the Greenville New markets Opportunity Board. He recently served as the president of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Board and has served on many other civic and church positions. He is a graduate of Leadership Greenville and Leadership South Carolina. He graduated from Clemson University and the Louisiana State University Graduate School of Banking. |

David Weaver, Chief Credit Officer
A Greenville native, David has 27 years in the local market, beginning with Bank of America (and its predecessors) where he served as Commercial Group Leader until 2002, before moving to BB&T and First Citizens Bank. His experience lies in commercial lending to businesses and professionals, in construction lending and in credit review and loan documentation. David also has extensive training as a strategic advisor to growth companies with respect to financial alternatives. He graduated from Furman University, the Louisiana State University Graduate School of Banking, and he completed the MBA program at Clemson University. He volunteers for Habitat for Humanity, serves on the EPC Endowment Committee, and is an elder in his church.

Jim Stewart, Senior Market Executive
Jim brings 30 years of banking experience to the management team. He has been in the Greenville banking market for 15 years and served as the Greenville Market Executive for BB&T for several years. He was the President and Founder of New Commerce Bank and served at First Citizens Bank as a senior lender for the Greenville office. Jim serves on the Financial board for the Foothills Presbytery and the Blue Ridge Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He served on the boards of the Greenville and Mauldin Chambers of Commerce and the Greenville United Way. He graduated from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and the Stonier School of Banking at the University of Delaware.

Tommy Warren, Chief Financial Officer
Tommy brings more than 20 years of experience in community banking with an expertise in accounting, financial reporting, and operations. Prior to Pinnacle Bank, Tommy was CFO of a bank in Georgia with $380 million in assets where his responsibilities included managing the operations, accounting, investment and technology areas. He has also been CFO for three other financial institutions and was a CPA with PricewaterhouseCoopers for six years. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina earning a BS degree in accounting.
